INSPEÇÃO NÃO DESTRUTIVA PARA FABRICAÇÃO DE TUBO DESLIZANTE PARA TREM DE POUSO DE AERONAVE

Abstract

This paper presents the non destructive inspections techniques applicable in the landing gear structural components, in order to detect cracks and/or defects that will generate landing gear failures. Among the types of inspection will be highlighted the following types: Penetrating Liquid Inspection, Magnetic Particle and Surface Burning Inspection. Non-destructive inspection plays a prominent role in the aeronautics industry as it ensures component integrity and therefore prevents failures and accidents. Defects and / or cracks can be generated in both manufacturing and component use, but in this case post-fabrication inspection will be presented. The case studied was a sliding tube which was inspected by two different non-destructive techniques to detect the production failure.
