Resumo

In order to present better performance and better ride comfort characteristics, active suspensions are used in vehicles. Those suspensions consist of active elements and control systems that manage the dynamics of the vehicle through a control design. An active actuator compensates the displacements from the vehicle structure and from ground irregularities. The active system determines the desired actuator force and commands the servovalve for the action of the actuator. The modeling of a ¼ vehicle suspension and the modeling of an active actuator constituted of an electro-hydraulic servovalve and a two way hydraulic cylinder are done in this study. The dynamic equations for the systems and the block diagrams for the simulations are also presented. It was simulated the behavior of the suspension system and the behavior of the system composed by the servovalve and by the hydraulic cylinder. So far, it was not simulated the close-loop feedback. Next, the results are presented and analysed.
