APPLICATION OF STATISTICAL ANALYSIS IN MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION: EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF THE ACTIVE METHODOLOGY IN TEACHING AS INNOVATIVE METHOD

This research investigates the application of statistical methods to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative approaches in teaching mathematics in secondary schools. The research compares problem-based and project-based learning (PBL) with traditional teaching methods, using “t” statistical tests for independent samples and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for data analysis. The results indicate that PBL significantly improves student performance on standardized mathematics tests, promoting a deeper
understanding of concepts and greater engagement. The use of PBL develops critical thinking skills and collaboration among students. The implications of this study suggest that the implementation of innovative teaching methods can transform pedagogical practice in mathematics education, resulting in better academic results and greater student motivation. The article concludes with recommendations
for future research and educational practices.
