Use of the Model of SWOT for Exportation Strategy: Case in a Company of the Siderurgical Sector
Abstract
The logistic upheavals that Brazil crosses, are influencing negative the exporting companies. This article considers to
raise it the influences of these factors in the strategies of a company of the siderurgical branch, that have 70% of its exported
production. The study carried through between 2005 and 2007 it was delimited siderurgical an operating one in the area of
Cylinders of Lamination. The relevance of this work is to analyze the use of model SWOT for orientation of the strategy of a
siderurgical company where the logistic one is the determinative factor for the decision in the competitive context. For
accomplishment of this study it was used of bibliographical research on existing theories and study of case, using itself of
Model SWOT, Strong Points, Weak Points, Oportunity and Threats. The result of the research allowed to conclude that the
logistic one is a decisive factor in the strategy of this company to be capable to remain itself enters the three world-wide
producing greaters of Cylinders of Lamination.
