Abstract

The degradation and habitat fragmentation, as well as the related consequences, have marked influence on the decline of the species, a fact exacerbated by anthropic pressure that these fragments are subjected. Genus Alouatta possess animals that presenting huge adaptability to resources, but even surviving in fragmented areas, suffer the effects of urbanization, thereby generating greater impact on wild populations. This study monitored between 2006 and 2014 the impact on the specimens of Alouatta clamitans were submitted within the State Park Fontes do Ipiranga, SP (Brazil), in order to compile and analyze information to propose mitigation measures that aims to minimize the impacts and assist in maintenance a long-term healthy population.
